JIT terms Nawaz Sharif and children guilty, recommends NAB Prosecution

Joint Investigation Team has found prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his children guilty and has recommended filing a reference against them in NAB.

“The failure on the parts of respondents to produce the requisite confirming known sources of income  is  prima facie tantamount to not being able to justify assets and the means of income”, reads the JIT final report that was presented before court today July 10.

The verdict of JIT is that they have found Prime Minister and his children guilty of misconduct and corruption and have recommended filing a NAB reference against them.

Earlier the court ordered making public 9 volumes of the JIT report. The 10th volume was redacted for the time being on the request of the JIT because it contained sensitive information that could undermine investigation against the ruling Sharifs.

It also means Jhang/Geo group published a fake and misleading story on its front pages two claiming that the JIT only found prime minister’s children guilty of misconduct. The supreme court sent a defamation notice to Geo’s owner Mir Shakil ur Rehman and the journalist who wrote the fake story Ahmad Noorani.
