Few days ago when Mahira Khan released a photo in a Cat Woman costume with a Shiv Sainik to send a message to the extremist religious party called Shiv Sena, everyone applauded her courage. However, naturally her message didn’t go well with many of the Shiv Sainiks of India.

After taking heat for that photo, Mahira Khan has now officially announced her apology for that photo claiming that it was not intended to be the way it was perceived.

She said actors are creative people and they must be left out of the politics.

In the controversial photo Mahira Khan was standing in a catwoman costume with a guy in a Shiv Sainik costume holding a placard which said, “Mahira ko bahar nikalo”, a pun intended over Shiv Sena’s claims of not allowing Pakistanis to work in India.

Mahira is the lead actress playing the role of the wife of Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming movie, “Raees”. The movie is set to be released next Eid.
