Zaroon Junaid, became a household name in India with the air of Pakistani romantic-drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai on Zee’s initiative Zindagi. And as much as we love the character we cannot help ourselves fall in love with the fine actor playing the role – Fawad Afzal Khan. The brilliant actor from across the border has left the girls swooning for love and made the guys super jealous. With Fawad already establishing himself in the hearts of the people in India, he should feel more confident about his Bollywood debut with Disney’s Khoobsurat opposite lovely Sonam Kapoor. 1- First things first, we hate to inform our female readers but YES Fawad is married. Fawad met his girlfriend at the age of 17 during tuition classes and began dating her with the intention of taking this relationship to marriage! Fawad is self confessed ‘old fashioned’ and had intended to marry Sadaf in the long run. For Fawad, Sadaf is his closest friend. He married her in an Islamic wedding ceremony at Lahore in 2005. The couple has a son named Ayaan.

2- The heartthrob of millions, Fawad Afzal Khan was born on November 29, 1981 Lahore, Pakistan. He spent his childhood in several countries like Greece, Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom as his father worked in a pharmaceutical company and was frequently posted across nations. He returned back to Pakistan when was 11 years old and enjoyed living in his homeland and spending teenage years on his home soil.

3- Fawad did his schooling from Lahore Grammar School. He is Telecom Engineer and had obtained his degree from National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences, Lahore. Fawad Afzal Khan started his modeling career at the age of thirteen and walked ramp along with Mahira Khan at the India Bridal Fashion Week and the PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week Day.

4- During his growing years, Fawad was not very focused about what he wanted to do in his life, something that was not liked by his father. He claimed he was like any of us who wanted to be pilot or an astronaut! He in fact applied for aeronautical engineering degree but dropped the idea when he came to know that he will have to stay away from family and his girlfriend, Sadaf!

5- He is Sagittarius. It is said that Sagittarius are open-minded, straight forward and honest people. They have a good sense of humor too.

6– Fawad is 5 foot 10 inch which is approximately 1.78 meter.

11- Fawad had been interested in the media business ever since childhood and his introduction into the world of show business was, as he puts it, “quite planned.” Khan’s first public performance was in a high school play directed by a friend of his,Manal Butt. The play caught the attention of director Shahzad Anjum, who helped Fawad into the media world.

12- Fawad made his acting debut in the 2000 comedy drama Jutt and Bond, while he was still in college. He starred in successful serials Humsafar and romantic-drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai, the highest rated Pakistani serial.

13- Fawad Afzal joined Entity Paradigm, a nu metal band from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, formed in 2000. He was vocalist, songwriter and released his debut album, Irtiqa, in 2003. The band was founded songwriter and guitarist Zulfiqar J. Khan, keyboardist and vocalist Ahmed Ali Butt.

14- Fawad Afzal Khan made his film debut with Khuda Kay Liye in 2007. The movie was the highest-grossing Pakistani film of 2007 and was critically appreciated as well. He has done another movie Armaan and will be doing his third Pakistani movie in Sultana Siddiqui’s Next.

15- Fawad Afzal Khan will be seen making his Bollywood debut with Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor. The movie is produced by Disney and will hit theatres on 19th September. He is also cast opposite Kareena Kapoor under Yash Raj Films banner.
