PTI Chief Imran Khan in a press conference held at Bani Gala said that former chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Justice (Rtd) Khalil Ramday, Punjab Provincial Election Commissioner Mehboob Alam, Najam Sethi, and PMLN leadership were all involved in rigging 2013 general elections.

On the other hand in an unprecedented move, Lahore High Court has constituted a larger bench to hear a petition filed against the long march of Imran Khan and Dr. Tahirul Qadri. LHC has summoned Imran Khan, Dr. Tahirul Qadri, Sheikh Rasheed and Chaudhry brothers in this regard.

“For stability of the country, Prime minister should visit Imran Khan even 10 times if it comes to that”, said Justice Khalid Mehmood in an unprecedented remark.

Legal experts are of the opinion that court should have dismissed the petition right away as courts could not admit political petitions.

Imran Khan Reaches Zaman Park

Imran Khan reached his residence at Zaman Park this evening after holding a press conference at Bani Gala. He was received by scores of his followers who were waiting for him at his residence.

Khan told his followers that come what may, 14th August long march will not be postponed. He told them that they should come fully prepared to Islamabad with all necessary items to eat and a blanket to sleep on. “Water will be provided to you by Insafians there”, said Khan

Later Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Huq also met with Imran Khan and discussed different issues regarding current political situation of the country. However, the exact agenda of the meeting could not be ascertained.

Earlier Press Conference

Earlier Imran Khan accused former CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry of playing a pivotal role in rigging 2013 general elections. “He attended a dinner party at Justice (Rtd) Khalil Ramday’s house and addressed returning officers present there”, said Khan.

While Justice (Rtd) Ramday organized and ran an election cell, said Khan. “Justice Ramday’s specialty was that he personally knew most of the people in lower judiciary”, and due to this specialty, “he monitored all returning officers and transferred anyone who wouldn’t comply”, said Imran Khan.

About Punjab Provincial Election Commissioner, Mehboob Anwar, Khan said that he requested 200 people to print additional ballet papers on 9th of May. “By this date ballet papers should have been reached constituencies”.  “Why were new ballet papers bring printed just two days before election day?” asked Imran Khan.

Also, “we have an eye witness who saw people bringing ballet boxes into Khwaja Saad Rafique’s house the night before election day”, he said.

“Why was Najam Sethi made Pakistan cricket board chairman?” he asked.

“Secretary Election Commission, Ishtiaq Ahmad has been given extention three times

“Justice Ramday’s son who wasn’t even of age, has been made Advocate General of Punjab”, said Khan while listening the benefits all collaborators received.

Address to the Nation

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also decided to address the nation tomorrow. According to sources, prime minister is going to list the achievements of his government in the last 15 months, a future plan of action, and discuss current political situation.

It is highly probable that prime minister will request the nation not to take part in the long marches of Dr. Qadri and Imran Khan.
