25 day of Gaza Strikes

Four hours after the 72 hour ceasefire deal went into effect, Israeli authorities said they were calling off the ceasefire citing violations from Hamas. In fresh airstrikes 8 Palestinians lost theirs lives, taking today’s death toll to 40 while at least 200 are injured.

The humanitarian ceasefire went into effect on 8:00 AM local time and was agreed upon by both Israel and Hamas. However, before it came into effect at 8 a.m., Israel had already killed 16 Palestinians in strikes and shelling since midnight.

Hamas on the other hand denied having violated the ceasefire deal and said Israeli forces fired on Gaza without any provocation.

The death toll of the 25th day of Israeli offensive on Gaza takes the overall toll to at least 1,483 while about 8,000 are injured. About 85 percent of the dead are said to be innocent civilians which also includes 400  children.
