Inqilab March: Revolution after 24 hours says Tahirul Qadri

Tahirul Qadri

Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri while talking to his supporters on Sunday said that 24 hours are left before the 48 hour deadline ends and after that Pakistan will see a revolution. Thousands of PAT workers are gathered in Islamabad demanding an inquilaab (Revolution) to end what they believe a corrupt and dysfunctional governance system.

Yesterday Dr. Qadri gave a 48 hour ultimatum to the government and asked that government should be dissolved, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif arrested, and a new national government be formed to bring changes to current system before holding  free and fair elections.

Dr. Qadri lambasted Federal and Punjab governments for the Model Town Incident in which 16 PAT workers had been killed and 80 wounded by Punjab Police. He said the family members of those martyrs want to know why were their loved ones killed so mercilessly?

Both Federal and Punjab governments are unable to decide as to how to deal with Dr. Qadri. “There is not even a single demand in Dr. Qadri’s list that the government can seriously consider however we are trying to convince him”, said Federal Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique.
