Chairman PTI Imran Khan visits the aggrieved families who lost their loved ones in a stampede in PTI’s Multan Jalsa. He offered Fateha for the deceased and announced financial compensation for the families. Imran Khan was accompanied by Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other party officials.

Imran Khan said he was heartbroken by the incident and has been constantly thinking about the families who have lost their loved ones. “One can only imagine the pain they must be going through”, he said.

Imran Khan demanded that a judicial investigation under a high court judge must be carried out to find the reason that led to this horrendous incident.

Earlier, PTI vice chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had alleged that the incident was pre-planned. He questioned that why only two gates were left open for the exit of so many people. “Why police used water cannon on our workers and put out the lights”, asked a furious Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Seven people lost their lives while 43 were injured after a large number of people got stuck in the gates of Qasim Bagh. According to reports only two gates were left open for the exit of around 250,000 people which resulted in this incident.
