Four arrested trying to sabotage Iran’s nuclear site

In a major development, Irani authorities claim to have arrested four spies who tried to sabotage Iran’s Nuclear site. “They were caught red handed”, a senior official, Ali Akbar Salehi, said emphatically.

Mr. Salehi who is director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, did not give names or disclosed the identities of these four persons, neither did he identify the nuclear site which was to be targeted. He simply said that the accused were monitored from some time and they were arrested red-handed before going on with their plan. “All four are under interrogations”, he further said.

This unprecedented development comes at a time when just a week go President Obama and his Iranian counter part, President Rouhani, talked to each other over phone. The talk was termed historic as it was the first official level one on one contact of the Presidents of both countries since the 1979 Khomeni led Islamic revolution.

Mr. Salehi said that some countries would not want Iran’s nuclear issue to be solved through dialogue and were bent on creating stumbling blocks in the way. He made it clear that Iran’s nuclear facilities were heavily guarded by police and intelligence forces.
