Fight against VVIP Culture gets Arjumand Hussain fired

Arjumand Hussain fired

Arjumand Hussain, the man who made headlines by standing up to VVIP culture, has reportedly been fired from his job by his employer Gerry’s travels. The video Mr. Arjumand shot while forcing Sen. Rehman Malik and MNA Ramesh Kumar Vankwani to get off from the plane, went viral and was picked by the mainstream media.

Gerry’s Travels, the employer of Mr. Hussain, fired him from his job stating tremendous pressure from the same VVIPs that he stood up against 12 days ago.

“When I came back to Islamabad, I had a feeling that something was going to happen, and it happened”, said Arjumand Hussain while talking to Mubashir Luqman in his Kharra Sach program. “I was simply told that the company had made my job redundant and that I should resign”, he explained.

This is a typical reason given to an employee when a company wants to get rid of a person  for some reason. The corporate world is no stranger to such cliche lines. However, Arjumand Hussain seemed in high spirit and said he was not concerned about his future.

“I have faith in God and He will provide to me and my family”, he said.

Luckily for him, before the end of Khara Sach program, Mubashir Luqman gave him the good news that someone had offered to him him a job. “I will discuss this job with you and if you liked it, I will then disclose this new employer and job nature to public in my program tomorrow”, Mubashir Luqman told him.

Mr. Arjumand has become a symbol of anti-VIP culture not only in Pakistan but in neighboring country India as well. An anti-VIP program has been started in India after getting inspired from him.
