Fashion Rebound: Five Biggest Trends of Spring 2016

With the weather growing warmer you’ll want to leave all those coats and scarfs in your closet and start the new season in one of these fashionable pieces.

1. Suede is back! Hello 70’s

If you thought that suede was going to be trendy just in the Fall 2015 collections then you were wrong. Some designers like Jonathan Saunders and Derek Lam made the decision to stay in the color pallet of sand that looks so natural on suede. While others chose to experiment and surprise us with bright oranges or reds.

2. Off-the-shoulder necklines

Asymmetrical, angular and all kinds of off the-the-shoulder necklines are making us think of warm weather and brave statements. Proenza Schouler had a wondeful collection and the best piece by far is a long black off-the-shoulder dress with a fringe rolling across it.

3. 90’s nostalgia

Go back to your childhood and think of all the choker necklaces and grungy hair because the runways are loving that look. Chloé’s oversized denim and overalls – either as dresses or as trousers – take us back to MTV videos and raves. Let us just hope that fanny packs stay in the past, where they are supposed to.

4. Crumpled Fabrics

This one is for all the lazy ones out there, you don’t need to iron and you’ll look chic. Creased clothes are looking fabulous at the Margarett Howell and Bottega Veneta shows. Pair a creamy buttoned up shirt with a good jean and you are bound to look great.

5. Ruffles

Ruffles always look so romantic and vintage, just look at the Michael Kors runway show for the Spring 2016 and you’ll fall in love. Paired up with asymmetrical cuts and bold colors you are not going to look like you stepped out of a romance novel.
