DGMOs to rebuild road towards Composite Dialogue

Pak-India-FlagDays after fierce clashes between Indian Army and militants at the Indian side of LoC at Keran sector, which left 5 Indian soldiers injured and a dozen of militants dead, Pakistan’s foreign office spokesman Aizaz Chaudry says that DGMOs level meeting is to resolve the border tension. India accused Pakistan Army of being involved in facilitating cross border infiltrations and even sending in its troops in the guise of militants. Foreign office strongly rebuffed India’s accusation of any involvement of Pakistan.

Mr. Chaudry said that the New York meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counter part, Manmohan Singh, was quite fruitful. Both premiers decided to form a Director General Military Operations level committee that will work towards defusing the tension prevailing on the LoC, he said. “These type of official engagements will further the cause of leading both countries back on track of a composite dialogue.”, he further said.

Earlier, Indian Army had accused Pakistan of sponsoring the militants to cross into Indian held Kashmir to create destabilization. An Indian Army Commander said, “Some of the militants are too good to be called just some ordinary militants, they seem to be professionally trained to conduct such operations.” However, he stopped short of calling them Pakistani regular troops in the guise of militants. He said further said that it was impossible for these militants to cross over the border without the help of Pakistani Army.

Some other Indian Army sources are not willing to accept the notion that no Pakistani regulars are present among these militants. They say that the Regulars or the Border Action Team’s personnel are among these militants. They claim that these militants have been cordoned off from all sides and they hence they are trying to get out and return to Pakistan. However, an ISPR statement termed these Indian allegations as fabrications and a vicious agenda to malign Pakistan’s name in front of world community.
