Things Indian Drama Producers should learn from Pakistani Dramas

Indian Dramas Saas Bahu

It was due to the efforts of Zindagi channel that finally Indian audience has got the magical taste of Pakistani dramas and watch the best drama-serials made till date.  However, if you give a little throwback and focus on the shows you will find that “Sasural Simar ka” shows resemblance with the Pakistani show called the “Zindegi gulzar hai” and “Uttran” with “Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain”.

However, none can compete the wonderful Pakistani Dramas that truly touch our hearts. And, Indian craze for these dramas from across the border shows that Indian audience do want to watch shows which people could relate to. Even celebrities like Kajol said words that describe how efficient Pakistani serials are. “Indian television producers have to learn a great deal from Pakistani dramas, which are much shorter and crispier in comparison”, she said during an interview.

We definitely have to learn from them. There is a lot of room for improvement and a strong resolve is needed to revamp Indian television and put it on its right track.

Here are some points to learn from Pakistan dramas which Indian producers must employ in order to bring Indian dramas at par with the ones made across the border.

Keep it short
The best thing about Pakistani serials is that they have a proper end that has a makes sense. Hindi serials on the other hand, get confusing somewhere in the middle due to their longer span. Because Indian producers drag their dramas for years, they mix up everything and then it doesn’t make any sense. Though the start these Hindi Dramas is good, but the end is always horrible, and that too if we ever see an end. The scripts used by Pakistani producers can be stated as a water-tight since they don’t stretch it unless it serves a critical purpose.

Give importance to acting not makeup
Unlike the Pakistani actresses, we see the Indian actresses as if they’re always on the ramp doing modeling. They’re always wearing proper makeup and eye-shadows which makes them more unrealistic. On the other hand, Pakistani actresses do modest makeup and wear it only if it’s demand of the character. Their characters are thoughtful and feel more natural.

Music that speaks
There is no need to roar like a lion in the background rather a sweet voice can change the whole feel of the story. You won’t expect bizarre background sounds at the entry of each character in Pakistani dramas. Also, their usage of background usage is less and is used only when it is truly the demand of the scene.

Keep religion away
In our dramas there is always an excessive usage of religion. Idol worship has a great part in the whole plot. One can never expect that a serial won’t start with Idol worship or any other similar religious ritual. You will never find this in Pakistani serials. They do not seem to be obsessed with religion. Religion is important but it doesn’t mean that it must be bad a pivotal force of our dramas.

Now you are already clear about the fact that how these both serials differ and how much Indian television producers have to learn from their Pakistani counterparts. Going with the current trend, the future of the Indian drama is bleak however employing the positive trends and guidance from Pakistani dramas will surely get it back on its right track.
