The 15 minutes rules

If you want to eat something sweet and you’ve developed an irresistible desire to snack on something, wait for 15 minutes. It may be that this desire was triggered by a splash of hormones, which means it could subside. The same goes for desserts in the restaurant. Also, don’t eat foods when you’re in a bad mood or angry: it’s best to wait 15 minutes and calm down.

Don’t confuse hunger and thirst

It often happens that the brain gives you a hunger signal, while you actually want to drink something. In order to not confuse hunger and thirst, drink a glass of water first of all, and then listen to your body: do you still want to eat?

Change the hand

In order to eat less, do this trick: if you’re right handed, eat with your left hand, while if you’re left handed, eat with you right hand. It will help you eat 20% less food.

Three fourths

If you can’t resist the urge to drink something sweet, divide it into 4 parts. Three of those parts you can eat slowly and enjoy every piece of it. But the fourth part must go to somebody else. This way you’ll get more calories than you’d normally would.

Dont get distracted

Do you know what makes us eat 15% more? Eating with gadgets: when sitting in front of laptop, watching a movie or browsing through your newsfeed in the social media. Instead, focus on eating that food and don’t get distracted.

Healthy snacks

You must have a large amount of vegetables and fruits at your home. Use them as snacks and avoid such snacks as chips, sandwiches and other stuff.
