An unknown gunman attacked a senior police officer, Superintendent Police (SP) Zahoor Afridi, resulting in killing three people. The police officer however, escaped the attack.

The incident occurred at Sariab road which is considered one of the dangerous roads in Quetta, as many security forces have been targeted by the militants.

During the exchange of fire, one attacker got killed and two pedestrian female got injured, Quetta police Chief Abdul Razzaq Cheema told the reporters. One of the injured women died on the way to the hospital.
