Punjab: Seven Death Row Convicts Hanged

7 hanged in Pakistan

Seven prisoners were hanged at different jails in Panjab for including a father and son and reaching the total number of hangings to 11 since Eid-Ul-Fitr.

The prisoners were executed in Attock, Sargodha, Gujarat, Multan and Kasur.

Convict Nayer Abbas was hanged in Central Jail Multan, for murdering a man in Muzaffargarh for disagreement over business matters in 1996.

Death row prisoners Usman and his son Aftab were hanged in Attock Central Jail who were convicted in a double murder case for killing a father and son over property dispute in 1998.

Gulfam Alias Gullu was hanged in district jail Gujarat for murdering a person in Jalal Pur Jattan in 2001. The reason behind the killing was told to be personal enmity.

Ahmed Din was executed in District Jail Jhang. He was found guilty of killing a man named Shireen Khan over a land dispute in April 2001.

Another convict Muhammad Nawaz was hanged in District Jail Sargodha for killing a person Farid Ahmad at Thana Atta Shaheed area in 2002.

Death row convict Safdar was executed in Attock Central Jail for double murder case committed in 2003.
