Peshawar: Several Restaurants and Stores Sealed for Selling Unhygienic and Expired Items

Several restaurants and food stores in Peshawar were sealed by the Deputy Commissioner Riaz Mehsud and his team for selling expired and unhygienic food items. The list included Tutti Frutti, Munchies, Jan’s Arcade, A2Z mega mart, Avon Super Store.

Many other stores and restaurant were found selling expired food items, including the Pearl Continental (PC), KFC and Pizza Hut. Legal action is being taken against them.

The sealed business were later allowed to operate their businesses after they submitted an Affidavit not to repeat the crime of selling expired and unhygienic items and paying a fine of Rs 300,000 each.

The people of Peshawar are all praise for DC Peshawar Mr. Riaz Mehsud. He is being appreciated for his operation that is not shying away from targeting the big guns of business such as Pearl Continental, KFC, and Pizza Hut to name a few.

The people of KP can easily reach DC Peshawar by simply sending their complaint to 8333. Most of the raids taken against these restaurants and fast food outlets have been taken after public complaints.
