When more than 35 countries are being represented in an event but majority of the visitors stand around one particular booth for most of the time, there must be something extraordinary in that booth. The participants must have done something mesmerizing. The talented students must have made such an alluring show which is not possible to resist. Yes, it was all about Pakistan’s booth and the students’ performances in the Technical University Munich on 1st June 2016.
Pakistan won the best international booth award on International Day at Technical University Munich. Students from more than 35 countries participated in the event. They presented different aspects of their local cultures by decorating their booths with the pictures of historical places. Traditional food and beverages were offered to the visitors. Students from some of these countries added flavor of their local music and dance but none of them was even close to the Pakistani booth or performances by Pakistani students.
Pakistani booth was decorated with posters depicting historical places, natural sceneries and some of the other important locations. However, the truck art which was drawn by an art loving Pakistani student attracted many visitors to the Pakistani booth. The visitors also liked Pakistani food and beverages.
Later, one of the students sang Ali Azmat’s “Sayeen Tu He” which drew attention of everyone present there. Some of the immensely talented students performed on Pakistani songs and got a huge round of applause from the audience.
These students worked day and night despite their busy schedules to make an impact on the international day. The organizer of the event contacted Pakistani embassy in Berlin for assistance and received a positive response from the embassy. The embassy sent them information pamphlets regarding Pakistan.
Technical University Munich is the top ranking German university and is one of the best universities in the world. Every year thousands of international students from all parts of the world come here for studies. International Day is organized every year and students from all the over the world participate in this event.
Winning the “Best International Booth Award” is a moment of pride for all Pakistanis. Although the Pakistani embassy contributed to some extent in preparation of this event but after this wonderful achievement the embassy needs to reward these students which will be a source of motivation for other students to make us proud in their academic and co-curricular activities.
