KPK Assembly passes resolution to open Bala Hisar Fort for General Public

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) assembly has passed a resolution to open up the historic Bala Hisar Fort of Peshawar for general public. Imran Khan, the chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf, had asked Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak to pass a resolution in the assembly for the acquisition of Bala Hisar Fort. Syed Ishtiaq Urmar of the PTI had moved this resolution which was unanimously passed by the assembly. What it means is that people of KPK could soon visit the historic fort and enjoy a great view.

The resolution is a follow up on PTI’s earlier promise in which the party had intended to take the fort from Frontier Corps and turn it into a tourism point. It was a long standing dream of the people of KPK to visit Bala Hisar Fort without any barriers. Also, KPK government intends to earn valuable revenue from the fort.

On the other hand, CM Pervez Khattak has ordered that no one should be given any kind of protocol. He further said that even he should not be given any protocol.
