A large number of people gathered at Jamia masjid to perform the funeral prayer in absentia for Tehreek-e-Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar in Islamabad.

The funeral was arranged by Jammat-ud-Dawah and the prayer was led by the central leader of Jammat-ud-dawah Hafiz Saeed.

Some of the prominent people who attended the funeral included former DG ISI Lt Gen (Retd) Hamid Gul, JI central Naib Amir Mian Aslam, central leader of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Shafiqur Rehman and some other notables.

On the occasion, all the speakers paid glowing tributes to the great leader who had spent his whole life fighting for the freedom of his motherland.
