Death has to come, we have to welcome it, but not so cruelly, not being electrocuted. Is human life that cheap that naked electric wires hanging in-front of the houses have become an easy access to death. Alas! government doesn’t pay attention or at least a cursory glance at such an important issue.

Is it because it will not do killing in bulks? Does that mean an individual’s life doesn’t count? Do we have to deal in bulks of deaths now for the government to take notice of an issue? Every life has its own worth and can’t be replaced with anything else. What are the taxes paid for? What and where is the budget used?

Every year, so many kids become victims of these naked electric wires. Many females while putting wet clothes on the grills get electrocuted. How much the covering of wires would cost ? More than the human life?

So many people are hired in the ministries and new ministries are inaugurated every year. What a dilemma! Still there is no staff who would pay attention to such a serious matter.

I have been an eye witness to such a horrible incident where a boy, my next door neighbor who was not more than 6 years of age, went on top of the roof to put the steel rod in the store. It took less than a minute I bet, the wires were so close to the roof grill that the rod in his hand got in contact with the wires and within a second…tears!

He smashed, he burned, he turned into ashes. He was left with no hands. He was not ever coal black, but he was turned into one.

Such a horrible death. May Allah save us all. It’s a part of our religion to pray for a decent and comfortable death. Pray to die with healthy and fit body parts. We have to return this body to Almighty Allah.

So please save life, these wires are seeking government’s attention at the earliest….Will it be there ??
