The Aftermath of Paris Attack Raises Some Serious Questions

Terrorism has no religion. An eye for an eye makes the world blind. Terrorism has become a systematic weapon of a war that knows no border and seldom has a face. They are a group of a bunch of terrorists who have nothing constructive to do with their own lives. They are free from all those feelings which a normal human can possess. They kill people, kids without having any valid reason just to prove a point and to ruin the unity world community.

Again, they have no specific motive to do all this. They have trite personalities and empty minds. Can they represent Muslims or Islam? How could they? Islam is a religion of wisdom and peace. There is no such place for such empty minded extremists who know nothing but to kill.

The recent Paris attack has changed the narrative of the world. Muslims find themselves in a very strange situation. The incident was indeed very heart wrenching and a black day in the history of not only France but the whole world. What’s more sad is the fact that this incident was tied with a religion and its followers than just some sadist terrorists who want to bring havoc to the world, be it Muslim or Non-Muslim world.

France in particular and other Western countries in general, have reacted very unwisely to this incident. Strict laws have been inplaced which target only people of Muslim faith. Mosques have been regularized in a not-so-efficient way and faith decides whether one is allowed entry to a country or not.

At the same time, one can’t stop but ask the question that “How can Muslims object to the french regulation of mosques when Ahmadis are not allowed to pray in many Muslim states especially in Pakistan?”

It’s all about inter and intra-faith harmony which seems to be missing. Everyone considers his point of view to be the absolute truth and is willing to even kill anyone with a dissenting point of view.

The need of the hour is to stop blaming a whole community for the actions of a few. Doing this will only lead to chaos.
