In a latest development, former justice of supreme court, Khalil ur Rehman Ramday, has served a legal notice to PTI chief Imran Khan for blaming him of rigging in 2013 general elections. In his defamation notice, Justice Ramday has demanded Imran Khan to publicly apologize within 15 days or face criminal and legal cases in local and international courts.

Justice (retd) Ramday has claimed in his legal notice that Imran Khan’s allegations had caused severe mental agony to him and had defamed him worldwide.

Earlier Imran Khan had alleged that Justice Ramday had setup a private election cell which he used to influence returning officers in favour of PMLN. Imran Khan had said that Justice Ramday’s sons were rewarded for his services.

“One of his son Mustafa Ramday was appointed as Advocate General while other Asad Ramday is an MNA from Toba Tek Singh”, Imran Khan had said.

Allegedly, Justice (retd) Ramday had invited returning officers (ROs) to a dinner and had stressed that Nawaz Sharif was the best choice for Paksitan. In the same dinner, former Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was present as chief guest.
