Well-known TV and stage actor Fareed khan passed away this Saturday in Karachi.

Fareed khan was suffering from throat cancer from the last several years. He had been taking treatment from a local hospital.

Fareed Khan whose full name was Fareedud Rehman Khan was selected as a singer and drama artist in Radio Pakistan in 1966. Later, he worked in play, “Aap Apney Daam Mai”.

Fareed Khan was known for his comedy. He worked in several comedy dramas and had received numerous awards.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage, Senator Pervaiz Rashid expressed grief over the death of Mr. Khan and prayed for the departed soul.

Pervaiz Rashid said that Fareed Khan was a great artist and that he would always be remembered by his fans.
