The Reasons of the Downfall of Muslim World

Islam is the fastest, rapidly growing religion of the world. History shows that once Muslims were best nation and ruled over the world. Why today then they are in such a miserable condition? Where have they lost their glory, courage and bravery? What are the main causes of our decline, why have we fallen prey to violence, aggression, and curse of sectarianism?

On the other hand, we all claim that we are Muslims and followers of that religion which is known as the religion of peace and server of humanity. Islam does not allow us to promote bloodshed, aggression and division of humans on the basis of sects, which by the way, is the major reason of our destruction. Unity of Muslim Umma has completely vanished. We are divided into Shia, Sunni, and what not, and we have forgotten the message of Holy Quran which commands us exactly against it.

If we cast a cursory look at all the Muslims countries, we can see that all are struggling in way way or the other and are in a miserable condition. Taking the example of Pakistan, we can see that for the last few years, the country has been going down economically and especially morally and is engulfed with the curse of terrorism and sectarian-based target killing.

But Pakistan is not the only country facing such awful condition. The fact is that most is all Muslims countries of the globe seem to be facing the same challenges, more or less. Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan and now in Yamen, Muslims are at loggerheads with each other.

The important question is that why only muslins countries are facing such circumstances and challenges? On the other hand, west and other countries seem to rapidly progressing towards prosperity. It is a very alarming situation for the Muslim world and the need of time is to take some immediate measures to protect the Muslim Umma from a total destruction.

Hence, if we want to rise again on the map of the world, we should be united, get ourselves well-versed in both Islamic and worldly education, to try to bridge the gap between Muslim nations and grow closer to one another. Also, it is more than necessary that we’re able to tell the world in unequivocal words that Islam is a religion of peace and humanity. Proper education of both Islamic and worldly education can help us achieve this goal.
