Educating Pakistan through Women Education

Education is the process of receiving systematic instructions at school, college, and university. Education is a sense in which knowledge; skills are transferred from generation to generation.

Education is the necessity of every society. No society or nation can survive without education. It gives the path that leads toward a bright future. It equips us with the knowledge to differentiate right from the wrong.

Education is essential for everyone because it is the only tool by which we can differentiate ourselves from other animals. It teaches us how to live in a society. That’s why education is important for everyone, both men and women.

In past, women did not receive any education because they were not allowed due to various self-imposed societal rules. They were not allowed to go out of their houses. Learning how well to do their domestic work was all they could get near to education.

However, we are Muslims and Islam gives women a right to get educated. Not only Islam, but every religion gives them the right to education. But again, there are so many people who do not want to educate their women because they think that women do not need education. Some even believe that women are made only for domestic work, and to take care of their children. Women do not have any right to education, they believe.

What they fail to understand is that education is that when you educated a man, you educate a man, but when you educate a woman, you educated a whole generation. Women education is important for the whole family. Because women are the mothers of the future generation. If women are uneducated, the future generation will be uneducated. If women are educated, the future generation will be educated.

Educated women are able to give a firm foundation to the family. Men and women are the wheels of vehicles if one wheel is present and other is not then the vehicle cannot balance its load. Likewise, society cannot work properly if men and women are not doing their duties. It is very easy to compare the success of a society where both women and men are educated with that society where only men are educated.

Developed countries are developed due to education. There is not a single example of a developed country where women education is not given importance. All the developed countries give equal attention to both men and women education.

Pakistan will develop when its literacy rate gets improved. And, women being 52% of the total population of the country, its literacy rate will never improve unless full focus is given to women education. The literacy rate of women in Pakistan is only 36 percent which is very low.

All of us must realize the fact that women education has a great importance in the modern world that we live in. Government should take some concrete steps and make it necessary for women to get education. Educate the women of Pakistan to get an educated Pakistan.
