Prabhu Deva’s Singh is Bling featuring Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Amy Jackson in the lead characters, is the remake of the super hit movie, Singh is King. The film is set to make its appearance at the theatres in October 2015. After a great success of Prabhu Deva and Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore, the duo is ready to start shooting for their upcoming film. The role of Amy Jackson was first awarded to Kriti Sanon but she quit the film because she was offered some other film with a better revenue. It is said that Lara Dutta is all set to make a come back with this film, to the film industry after not having done any films for several years.

Singh is Bling will be a perfect mix of comedy and romance. With a director like Prabhu Deva, we can expect these kind of movies very often. Akshay Kumar will sport a look of a Sardar, while Lara Dutta will take on a never seen avatar of her. Amy Jackson’s role is said to be a surprise for the audience, as quoted by Prabhu Deva. The film be a stomach – aching laughter and with some adorable love story mix on top of it. The title was taken from Karan Johar’s comment on Akshay Kumar’s Blingy way of dressing in a party. The shooting of the film is going to began from april, 2015 and will likely be shot in the villages of Punjab and some parts of Delhi.

Akshay Kumar had to put on 15 kg’s to suit the role as advised by Prabhu Deva. But it looked out of shape and he was looking like an over weight Sardar, so he had to lose weight again, which was not an easy thing for Akshay Kumar. Prabhu Deva was happy to give the role to him as he showed real sincerity and interest towards the character provided to him. Akshay Kumar, who is now looking after his beard is all geared up to start shooting right away with Lara Dutta and Amy Jackson already freed up the dates to kick start the beginning.
