Everyone loved the way Mahira Khan and Ranabir Kapoor shared a light moment during the Global Teacher Prize ceremony in Dubai. Their interaction showed the level of friendship they enjoyed.

However, an Indian publication claims that Ranbir and Mahira may be more than just friends. The report claims Ranbir has grown such fondness in the Pakistani beauty that makes one wonder if what they have is just friendship.

Mahira Khan debuted her Bollywood career opposite Shah Rukh Khan in movie Raees. She was widely appreciated for her role by many.

A close friend of Ranbir said the Rockstar has grown in fondness for Mahira and always speaks very affectionately about her.

“Ranbir is very fond of this lady (Mahira). He speaks about her very warmly and affectionately, and proudly shows her pictures on his phone to close friends. This is building into something more than just a casual friendship,” says the friend.

However, soures close to Mahira Khan have rubbished all reports about her closeness with Ranbir. “They are just good friends and there is nothing more to it”, said a close friend of Mahira on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to media on her behalf.

“Mahira only wants to focus on her career and any report about her affair with anyone is a big lie”, further said the source.
