Life as we know it

Change

If you stay in the past, how would you be able to know about the future? Change is a part of life, it is a fact from which you cannot escape. It is the law of life; inevitable.

“There is nothing permanent in life except change”, said Heraclitus.

My whole life, I have been presented to a single element, Change. It does not only occur over a happening of any dramatic scene or incident, it comes overnight. This happens when your brain decides to do something different than the rest. The factor of insecurity lies in here, the reason why we try to change ourselves. We compare our behind scenes with everyone else’s highlighted. You may think that everyone else is better than you are, but you only see the image they portray to the world.

We have a love and a hate relationship with change. If things stay for too long, you get bored of it. And if many things change at once, we try to find relaxation in it.

For many reasons, people reject change. They want to stay the same, as they feel with this change they are going to lose their friendships, it is going to separate them. What would you do when you found out that although you have spent so much of happy days together, enjoyed every moment of every second with them and you think that you cannot find a friend like them?

My Grandmother always used to tell me that you cannot make new old friends. Our close friends love us for what we are and we’re convinced they’d stay the same forever. Forever is a long period and not even one person can always stay the same. The main reason a person wants to change himself is not because of their own choice but that feeling which comes in their head and heart. If you feel empty and unpleasantry attitude from people, it is time for you to know where to stand. Maybe this isn’t good nor bad, but it could be considered as something that help us grow.
