After Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Khawaj Asif also turns out to be an Iqama holder in Dubai. PTI leader Usman Dar shared his Iqama detail on social media.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif has been serving as Minister of Defence and Minister of Water and Power and is reportedly a top contender to be the next prime minister of Pakistan in case the Supreme Court disqualifies PM Nawaz Sharif.

Replying to the allegations Khawaja Asif accepted he had an Iqama but that he had declared it long ago. “I declared my Dubai business 27 years ago and all my earnings come to Pakistan through legal channels”, he said.

Usman Dar, on a video released on facebook, claimed that Khawaja Asif had concealed he was an Iqama holder in Dubai. He claimed Mr. Asif too was going to be disqualified under article 62.

Senator Aitzaz Ahsan told reporters that the law did not allow a prime minister or any minister to hold another job even in Pakistan, let alone international job.

While Sheikh Rasheed said he believed the whole PMLN leaders will turn out to be Iqama holders after an investigation.
