Imran Khan presents proof of money source in Supreme Court

Imran Khan has presented documents in the supreme court explaining the source of his money earned during his cricketing years in the UK. According to the documents Imran Khan earned 190,000 pounds in 1987 alone.

PMLN’s Hanif Abbasi had filed a case against PTI chief demanding source of income for buying his London flat.

The flat bought in 1983 cost Imran Khan 117,000 pounds. The supreme court asked Imran Khan to present his source of income to ascertain he had the means to legally buy such a flat.

PTI media coordinator Fawad Chaudhry told reporters the documents presented before court contained trail of about 350,000 pounds. “The court asked us for proof of only 117,000 pounds but we have presented proof of 350,000 pounds”, he explained.

Additionally, Imran Khan said documents for the last 20 years of his earnings from county cricket were not available.
