Chief Election Commissioner Fakhrudeen G. Ibrahim’s Karachi office has been broken into and his laptop and some important documents have been stolen. It is reported that the laptop contained some sensitive information and these information could be unfairly used by someone to his advantage. However, it is not clear as to what kind of sensitive information was present in this laptop.

The laptop was in active use of Fakhru Bhai and he would use it to read and analyse different important documents. An FIR has been registered in the Boat Basin Police Station and a Joint Investigation team has been formed to find the culprits as soon as possible. The team consists of Commissioner Karachi, Deputy Commissioner South, DIG South, and SP Clifton.
