A 5.7 Magnitude Quake jolts Peshawar, Parachinar, Islamabad

Quake

An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 was felt in different areas of Pakistan as well as India. The center of the earthquake is said to be southern Afghanistan. There are no reported casualties until now. According to Pakistani geological service the intensity of the earthquake was 6.2, however, according to American Geological Survey, the intensity was 5.7.

People came out of their homes and were quite terrified as the quake jolted the cites for almost 25 seconds. Just a a week ago an earthquake of almost similar strength had hit the same area as a result of which many people had lost their lives.
