Pakistan Pounds Terrorists Hideouts Inside Afghanistan

In a major development, Pakistan Army has attacked terrorist camps inside Afghanistan destroying various compounds belonging to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, an offshoot of TTP.

Camps of JuA’s commander Bacha Khan were targeted during Pakistan Army’s attack. Many of the hideouts were destroyed in Kunar and Nangarhar areas of Afghanistan.

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar is an offshoot of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and has taken responsibility for most of the terrorist attacks in the last five days inside Pakistan. The group took refuge in Afghanistan after Pakistan launched operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists inside its border areas.

Afghanistan and Pakistan do no enjoy cordial relations. Afghan officials have responded angrily to this development saying Kabul retains the right to retaliate .
