How dangerous is Global Warming?

Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forest are drying and wild life is scrambling to keep its pace all because of “Global warming” which is an increase in Earth’s average surface temperature.

This increase is due to the effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap excessive heat that would otherwise escape the Earth’s atmosphere, making Earth a hotter place to live.

Scientists have recorded the rise in average temperature worldwide by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit and projected it to rise another 2 to 11 degrees Fahrenheit over next 100 years. This is because of effects of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane which act as a blanket trapping heat and warming the planet.

Global warming can be a serious problem because the increase in warm temperature will make it very difficult for some of the species to survive.

We can control global warming by controlling carbon emissions and other such factors that play a role in the formation of the greenhouse effect. Also, awareness campaigns should be run so that people should know how dangerous global warming is and how it affect our planet so that they can play their individual roles to control it.

We all share this world so everyone alike must take serious and immediate action to address the issue of global warming or the resultant consequences will affect the entire plant. Let’s us leave a better world for our future generations.
