Famous Karachi based designer Tabasum Mughal has been accused of verbally and physically abusing her client when she demanded a refund.

According to reports, the client demanded a refund after the designer missed the deadline of her bridal clothes several times. Apparently the demand for a refund got the designer so angry that called out for men to beat up the woman.

The woman was beaten up with chairs, kicks and her hair was pulled out, witnesses said.

The posts by a soon-to-be bride’s cousin said, “Four men and Tabassum kicked, punched and slapped my chachi and threw her out of the house saying that ‘people who travel in rickshaws don’t deserve to shop at Tabassum Mughal’”.

The news of the incident went viral on social media a people demanded strict action against the Ms. Mughal. A protest page on facebook by the name, Bring Tabassum Mughal to Justice, has also been created that attracted about 9000 members.

However, Tabassum Mughal while replying to all the social media hype said that, the story was an exaggerated one and that they have the recording of all that happened which will be provided if needed.

“Exaggeration is the name of the game and what’s funny is the mindless people who don’t know anything yet spread it like wildfire with some more two cents (which they have no clue about) and then people commenting on such posts are ignorant too. I have everything caught on tape to prove otherwise and make sure this case is closed but we choose to be better,” Tabassum Mughal.

It is not known who actually initiated the fight. However, according Ms. Filza Sikandar who was an eye witness to the incident, she saw Ms. Mughal’s father and one of her worker beating up the lady and dragging her by her hair towards the gate.

“My brother-in-law intervened and tried his best to stop that man from hitting that woman”, said Ms. Filza Sikandar in her facebook status.

“She was forcefully kicked out of Tabassum’s studio. All that woman (kept) demanding was her refund”

“I am so disturbed to witness such a malicious act”, said Ms. Filza.
